Reasons why hydrogen cars cannot contest against electric vehicles

The hydrogen generated has to be made less dense by compressing and then conveying it to the hydrogen stations, this method is highly proficient. The moment it is inside the car, it is changed into electricity, which is efficient as well but not that much.
There are millions of electrically driven cars on the road, and sales have gone up significantly, which is good. Only a certain percentage of the total worldwide, though in a dissimilar level to hydrogen, which had fewer sales of cars globally.
Hydrogen has the least number of stations that refuel, and constructing them is going to be precedence during this COVID-19 pandemic.
