After Chris Cornell, another singer has taken his life. According to reports, Linkin Park’s lead vocalist Chester Bennington was found hanging at his residence in Los Angeles today and though the police are investigating his death, it is apparently a case of suicide. His band mate Mike Shinoda has also confirmed his demise. He took to Twitter to announce the tragedy and wrote that he was shocked and heartbroken but it was true and the band will issue an official statement soon in the matter.
On the other hand, the news of Chester Bennington’s death has shaken his fans and followers. Many expressed their grief on social media, paying tribute to their favorite singer with heart touching words. Rock band OneRepublic paid homage to the singer and also underlined the menace of suicide stalking the society at large. Singer Timbaland paid condolences to the bereaved family while rapper Lil Chano wrote that his death was a tragic ending.
Dwayne Johnson and Justin Timberlake also offered their sympathies to his grieving family. Among Bollywood celebrities, Ayushmann Khurrana and Athiya Shetty paid tribute to Chris Bennington with the latter saying that he mattered to an entire generation and that she grew up listening to his lyrics.
