Unveiled at the 2016 EICMA, the new 2017 Honda CBR 650F is slated for launch in India by the month of July. Although it looks pretty identical to the outgoing version, certain cosmetic changes have been made to make it look sharper. While mechanical changes have been made to make it slightly more powerful and handle better.
The engine on the new 2017 Honda CBR 650F witnesses a bump in power. Its inline-4 motor now develops 90hp @ 11,000 rpm, an increase of 4hp over the previous model, while torque output stands at 64Nm @ 8,000 rpm. In addition to that, gear ratios have been shortened to improve acceleration in the low and mid-range, while changes have been made to make the already sweet sounding motorcycle even better as the engine spins faster.
The new model gets Showa Dual Bending Valve front forks and reworked Nissin front brake callipers, which provide enhanced braking power and better stability. The front fairing has been restyled and now incorporates a mean looking LED headlamp, the same treatment has been carried over the taillight too. Elsewhere, the 2017 Honda CBR 650F is available in shades of Millennium Red, Pearl Metalloid White and Matt Gunpowder Black. Expect the bike to be priced around the Rs. 7.6 lakh mark when launched in India.
