The Haryana Police has issued a lookout notice against Honeypreet, the adopted daughter of convicted godman Ram Rahim Singh and Aditya Insan, spokesperson of Dera Sacha Sauda. Both are accused of conspiring to help Ram Rahim escape the prison after his sentencing.
An alert has been issued by the Haryana police at airports and other exit points for Honeypreet Insan and Aditya Insan. According to reports from The First Post, a ‘lookout notice’ has been issued against both for conspiring against the orders of the courts and helping Gurmeet Ram Rahim flee the police. A similar notice has also been issued against Aditya Insan, spokesperson of Dera Sacha Sauda, for trigging violent protests after Gurmeet Ram Rahim was convicted.
The report further says that Honeypreet has not seen after she left Rohtak on 25 August. Manbir Singh, Haryana deputy commissioner has said that she conspired to free her alleged father from the security personnel who were taking him to the jail. According to reports from NDTV, Ram Rahim asked for a red bag when he was being taken to the jail and this perhaps was a signal for his followers to cause a disturbance outside the court.
The police suspected something was going on and it led them to make special arrangements and he was ferried away from the court in a helicopter. Also, last week, the Haryana police arrested five of its own commandos, assigned to Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, for conspiring to help him flee the jail. They have been fired as well.
As of now, there is no information about the whereabouts of Aditya and Honeypreet. Both have gone into hiding and it is said that the police feels that they might even try to escape the country. An arrested Dera Sacha Sauda functionary Surinder Dhiman, who has been arrested by the police has expressed these apprehensions and this is why, alerts have been issued at the airports.
It is worth mentioning here that a total of 41 people have been killed in Haryana after the conviction of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh that led to widespread violence and arson in the state as well as Panchkula.
