Justin Bieber’s Mumbai concert has come under much fire after it came to the light that the singer was lip-syncing for most of the time during his performance but a few Indian artists have also supported the Canadian singer.
The Indian fans of Justin Bieber had been waiting for months to watch the singer perform live on stage but the lip syncing has sent fans into a fit of rage and they are pouring their ire on social media.
Justin Bieber’s live concert in Mumbai had all the hype and hoopla of a rocking show and though it proved to be pretty profitable for the Maharashtra government, the fans of the singer are furious, The Times of India claimed. They are venting out their frustration on social media saying they did not buy such expensive tickets to watch the singer lip sync. One fan said that if she had known Bieber would do this, she would have listened to him online.
Notably, the Mumbai concert of Justin Bieber turned out to be a big disappointment for the audiences, including the Bollywood celebrities who chose to attend it, as the 23-year-old-singer chose lip syncing for 12 of the songs he performed and he also appeared to be lacking in energy. Not only this, the arrangements at the event, were also found to be inadequate as things were overpriced and security personnel behaved rudely.
Nevertheless, some artists from the Indian entertainment fraternity are not complaining. Singer Babul Supriyo has said that it is not possible to sing while one is dancing while composer Shantanu Moitra wondered if Justin Bieber was under any compulsion to perform like that. Kailash Kher blamed it on the audience and singer-composer Anupam Roy said that many artists do it and it is justified because one cannot take risks at big shows where huge investment is involved.
