Fifth Indiana Jones Film Delayed By A Year, Disney Releases Calendar Of Its Upcoming Projects
The release of the fifth Indiana Jones movie has been delayed by Disney and the movie will now hit theaters in 2020.
Disney has announced that the release date of the fifth Indiana Jones movie will now be sometime in 2020. Well, it is not just the fifth Indiana Jones movie, some of its other projects like “Frozen 2,” “Lion King” has also been rescheduled.
According to reports from BBC, the Harrison Ford-starrer fifth Indiana Jones movie would be releasing on July 10, 2020. The release of the yet-to-be-titled movie is notably pushed ahead by a year as the previous release date was in 2019.
It is worth mentioning here that the upcoming fifth Indiana Jones movie is coming up after 39 years since the release of the first Indiana Jones movie that was titled, “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” It was a super hit movie and fans fell in love with the franchise. The forthcoming Indiana Jones movie will also be the last in the series as Harrison Ford is growing old and by the time the fifth movie releases, he will be 78 years old.
Additionally, the delay in the release of the fifth Indiana Jones movie is also being considered a better proposition as it will give director Steven Spielberg, ample time to build a strong story line, which the fans and audience will love. Especially so since the fourth installment of Indiana Jones, “Kingdom of the Skull” did not perform well in the box office.
In related news, Variety reported that the Disney has reshuffled the release dates of many of its upcoming projects. And, it is not just pushed back released dates, some projects have been moved ahead too, like “A Wrinkle in Time,” has been moved ahead by a month and will now be releasing on March 9, 2018. “Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” has been moved by just a few month and the new release date is Nov. 21, 2018.
Another unnamed Disney live-action fairy tale is also in the offing, the release of which has been delayed by a year, but since much detail has not been given, it remains under speculations.
